Description:

The Largo range of high quality straight mineral oils possessing good natural lubricating properties that are enhanced by modern refining techniques. They have good viscosity / temperature characteristics and separate from water cleanly and quickly.

Applications

Largo Mineral Oils are a versatile range of oils which can be used wherever a straight mineral oil has been specified. Particularly recommended for lightly loaded industrial equipment with circulating systems, oil baths, automatic lubricators, wick oilers, spray, splash and mist lubricators. Suitable for oil lubricated bearings, machine tool headstocks, and enclosed gearboxes working in light to moderate conditions. These oils are suitable for all general lubrication uses and oil can applications. Largo Mineral Oils make ideal process oils and can be used as extenders in the plastics, rubber and sealant industries. Largo 20 and 32 can also be used as quenching oils.

Largo P1 and GP2 are ideal for high speed spindle bearings on grinding machines and other applications where a non-EP grade of this viscosity is requested by the equipment manufacturer.

LARGO GP2

Largo GP2 is formulated to suit spark erosion machines of all power ratings and sizes. The product is a multipurpose dielectric fluid designed to enable optimum rates of metal removal, together with low electrode wear, good surface finish and fine tolerances.

The low viscosity of LARGO GP2 ensures good cooling and flushing actions in the narrow spark gaps, reducing the chance of work-piece and electrode deformation and leading to greater accuracy and speed of machining. The low aromatic content and excellent oxidation resistance of LARGO GP2 ensures minimal residue and carbon formation in use, ensuring improved filterability and extended product life.

Furthermore LARGO GP2 does not contain any highly flammable solvents and has a higher flash point than many products of similar viscosity, resulting in lower volatility and improved safety. These properties, along with its low odour and low foaming potential, help to create a safe and pleasant working environment.
